The College Seal is a white circular field surrounded by rosary beads. The upper arc contains the name, MATER DEI COLLEGE. Directly under the arc is a blue triangle with the words in back print: SAPIENTIA, CARITAS and ORATIO on each side. Inside is a smaller white triangle with an M and the cross at the center. Both the M and the cross are outlined in black. Outside the big triangle is the location of the college, Tubigon, Bohol Philippines. The lower portion of the circle contains the date of foundation of the college in the symbols; MCMLXXXIII, all printed in black.
The prominence of the M and the rosary in the logo indicates the role of Mary, Mother of God, as the patroness and protector of the College. The words: SAPIENTIA, wisdom, through Scholarship, CARITAS, charity, through Service, and ORATIO, prayer-life, through living the Gospel, are the corporate values.
The founders of Mater Dei College envisioned to provide a holistic Christian education to the poor rural youths. With this vision in mind, they came up with a rallying mission to be able to share what they have, human and material resources, to provide the underprivileged youth the education they aspire for. Hence, the founders advocated the three corporate values for their goals, viz:
Sapentia
Wisdom through scholarship
Caritas
Charity through service
Oratio
Prayer-life through living the gospel
Since 1984, these three corporate values, actualized as visions through the years, have given Mater Dei College not only the impetus to survive but also the meaning and inspiration to pursue a quality existence, worthy of the best efforts of the Board of Incorporators, administration, faculty, staff and students.
